The IT Core Facility of the institute is dedicated to supporting the research and innovation of our scientists, providing a wide range of services that ensure seamless and efficient operations. We offer individual support and IT consultancy, were needed, to ensure that our specialists are helping to support our users by developing knowledge and skills.

We understand the unique needs of scientists, and our team is equipped to handle all your hardware needs, from procurement to deployment, and manage user access with precision. Our software procurement and installation services ensure that you have the latest applications and tools, while our license management ensures compliance with policies and regulations.

We are responsible for maintaining the stability and security of our servers, email accounts, and mailing lists, as well as operating wireless and wired networks, including VPN services, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.

Our commitment to supporting research data management needs, offering network storage, high-performance computing resources, GDPR and data protection services meets highest scientific standards. Furthermore we are providing backup and data archiving services to prevent data loss as well as supporting scientific data management and data sharing, helping researchers to collaborate with colleagues and share their findings with the world.

To service research and experimental activities, the IT Core Facility also offers IT hardware rental services, including laptops, projectors, storage media, and audio/video conference equipment. Their team is also available to provide IT support for special experimental setups and offer VPN and SSH access for secure remote connections.
