Alumni of the Group Recognition and Categorization
I am a visiting student at MPI for Biological Cybernetics.
My research interest is development of algorithms for recognizing conversational expression.
Conversational expressions such as thinking, or looking confused form an integral part of efficient non-verbal communication. This makes the study of these expressions a key ingredient for the development of human-computer interaction technology. My goal is development of modeling techniques for conversational expressions that are able to cope with the large inter-person-variability and number of categories.
