Main Focus

My research focuses on neuronal energetics, exploring how metabolic constraints affect the activity of neurons and networks, especially in the context of epilepsy and Parkinson's disease.

My initial background is chemistry and physics; I then specialized in dynamical systems and statistical physics and moved towards biophysics. I am using these theoretical tools I learn as a physicist to study neurons and neural networks in order to understand how mechanisms at cellular or subcellular levels can affect the activity of the whole network.
