Hamid Noori awarded yet again
Special commendation by the Society for the Study of Addiction (SSA)
The Society for the Study of Addiction (SSA) has announced that the 2019’s Fred Yates Prize for Researcher of the year is awarded to Dr. Hamid R. Noori from the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics.
The prize goes to a reseacher who is in the early or mid part of her or his career and has made a significant and specific contribution to the addictions field in recent years. This year, the SSA award committee agreed that Dr. Noori deserves special commendation for his impressive contributions to our knowledge of addiction and effective responses.
The key objective of the SSA is to support the communication of scientific knowledge about dependence on alcohol, nicotine and other drugs. It aims to encourage the systematic study of dependence and to promote policy analysis and to advocate the use of the evidence-base in policy and practice.
