Main Focus

I'm in my last year as a PhD student at the institutes for Biological Cybernetics and Intelligent Systems. In general, I am interested in training neural networks with limited computational resources. In my current study, we investigate the regularizing effect of limited computational resources on deterministic feedforward neural networks in classification tasks. Prior to that, we derived synaptic weight update rules for artificial spiking neurons with limited information transmission rate in reinforcement learning tasks.
