Dong Cheol Hur

I am a visiting student at MPI for Biological Cybernetics.

My research interest is development of algorithms for recognizing conversational expression.

Conversational expressions – such as thinking, or looking confused – form an integral part of efficient non-verbal communication. This makes the study of these expressions a key ingredient for the development of human-computer interaction technology. My goal is development of modeling techniques for conversational expressions that are able to cope with the large inter-person-variability and number of categories.
