Girls’Day 2024: Immerse yourself in the world of science

Girls between the ages of 14 and 18 are cordially invited to take part in the Girls' Days at the Max Planck Institutes in Tübingen and gain a fascinating insight into the world of science. The events will take place on April 25, 2024 as part of the nationwide Girls' Day and offer a unique opportunity to get to know the different research areas of the institutes.

At Girls' Day, participants are not only introduced to the latest technologies and working methods in research, but can also chat with our scientists.
Participation is open to all girls from middle school onwards. No special prior knowledge is required, just curiosity and an interest in science!

The three Max Planck Institutes located in Tübingen each offer an independent event, for which you can register via the Girls'Day radar:

Research and Development of Intelligent Systems: Gain insights into the basics of artificial intelligence at the MPI for Intelligent Systems and learn how machines perceive, act and learn. Marvel at our large robotics lab and our Capture Hall and experience fascinating demonstrations.

The fascinating world of neuroscience: discover at the MPI for Biological Cybernetics how information processing works in the brain and how humans and animals perceive, decide, act and learn. Whether light, magnetic resonance imaging or zebrafish - find out what role they play in brain research.

Exciting insights into biology: find out more about microbes, algae, plants and animals and their interactions at the MPI of Biology Tübingen. Discover how organisms adapt to their environment and what role microbes play in our health. Get in direct contact with our researchers during lab tours and ask them your questions.
