Main Focus
My research interests lie at the intersection of systems neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and biological intelligence. I am particularly interested in how neural circuits encode and integrate information to generate internal representations of the environment and guide behavior. More broadly, I am fascinated by the principles underlying neural computation, spatial cognition, and the emergence of intelligence under biological constraints.
Curriculum Vitae
I joined the RoLi lab at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in May 2026. My research focuses on how neural circuits in the zebrafish brain encode and process spatial information.
Prior to this, I completed my Master's thesis in Systems & Computational Neuroscience at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Gero Miesenböck, where I investigated the role of mitochondrial dynamics in the metabolic regulation of sleep in the mammalian brain.
