International meeting on visual neuroscience
Researchers from Europe, the US, and Asia gathered in Tübingen
With the recently concluded Systems Vision Science Summer School followed by a symposium, Max Planck researcher Li Zhaoping brought together leading figures and early-career scientists in visual neuroscience from Europe, the US, and Asia between August 11 and 22.
Both events were marked by a wide range of topics, spanning experimental vision research to computer vision.
Summer School participants had ample opportunities to attend tutorials and workshops, as well as engage in stimulating discussions, exchanging different perspectives across various forums.
The symposium provided an international platform for top researchers to share insights and discuss the latest developments in visual neuroscience. The keynote lecture was delivered by Tadashi Isa from Kyoto University, with a focus on neurophysiology.
This combination of hands-on learning and scientific conference, which has been held successfully for several years, has established itself internationally and is set to continue in the summer of 2026.
