June-August 2013 - Junior Technical Designer – Sumo Digital

Worked as part of the content team designing and implementing gestures and workouts for the Xbox Fitness project. Helped push the Kinect technology and ensure the drills gave the best experience for the player by tracking the quality of their performance including their balance, tempo and form.

Upon the completion of each workout I tested them rigorously before they were sent off to the QA testing team. If any bugs were found then I had to follow the repro steps in order to reproduce the bug and fix it before it was sent off to be tested again.

This position required strong mathematical and teamwork skills as well as adapting and learning new skills quickly in order to use proprietary tools and flexibility when approaching key deadlines.

July-August 2012 - Accreditation Team Member – London 2012 Olympic Games

Issued games participants with an accreditation pass, ensuring that the appropriate level of access was assigned, and validated these by checking identification, taking photos when necessary. Also resolved access issues at the park entrance, should someone’s pass fail to give them entry.

This position required a wide array of personal skills, including discretion, diplomacy, the ability to remain calm under pressure, exceeding customer expectations and focusing on detail to avoid a security risk or cause inconvenience. I was able to combine these skills with my computer and data entry skills in order to carry out the job to a high standard.
