Position: PhD Student  Unit: 

My scientific interests lie in sensory systems neuroscience. Specifically I am interested in the visual and auditory systems and their interplay. I use psychophysics, large-scale electrophysiology (dual 10x10 Utah Arrays simultaneously recorded) in non-human primates and computational modelling to understand the neural mechanisms of sensory integration and consciousness. I am specifically interested in the hierarchical bayesian framework known as "Predictive Coding".

  1. Functional connectivity and population coding (long-range correlations, input-output delays, inter-areal latencies and feedback-feedforward mechanisms) in higher cortical regions

 

 

 

  1. Spatiotemporal patterns of intrinsic cortical activity during changes in conscious visual perception in the primate pre-frontal and parietal cortices

 

 

  1. Audio-visual integration in the primate pre-frontal cortex from a predictive coding perspective
