Anagha Deshmane

Position: Postdoctoral Fellow  Unit: Scheffler

My research interests focus on development of fast and quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques which may enable or enhance diagnosis and monitoring of treatment response in clinical settings.

 

At the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, I have recently joined the GLINT project, aimed at investigating metabolism in brain tumors.  My role is to develop fast protocols for imaging hydroxel groups and proteins using chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) MRI at 9.4T and to develop improved translated protocols for use at clinical field strengths.

 

My previous research involved development of Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting, a fast imaging technique for quantifying MR relaxation times, system/experimental parameters, and tissue composition (partial volume effects) in the brain.
