| General Course Information | This course is organized annually and has two main goals: 1) To introduce you to the various research areas, methods and techniques for studying human perception at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. The institute is a leading international research facility, which uses a combination of psychophysics, computational modeling and cutting-edge technology to study the human brain. 2) To give you „hands on" experience by conducting five mini-research projects related to on-going research projects. |
| Program for 2013 | Four to seven experiments from different research fields e.g.: "Face recognition". Participants will also get tutorials and various lab tours. More details to be announced later. |
| Course Requirement | The course is in English. Students should be at least in their fifth semester. Students who want to get a "Schein" or credits for this practical course are required to write a report in English. (Psychologie Studenten: Diplom-Studenten der Psychologie können sich für ihre Teilnahme am Blockpraktikum einen benoteten Schein für ein Praktikum in „Evaluation und Forschungsmethoden“ anrechnen lassen.) |
