Locating a housing off campus may require some time. For the mean time, you might need to make a reservation at one of the other private guest houses in Tübingen. Please ask at the Max Planck House or check the list of overnight possibilities.

A good source to find apartments is the local newspaper “Schwäbisches Tagblatt” on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You may also contact the "Mitwohnzentrale" in central Tübingen.

Registration office / Bürgeramt
As soon as you have a permanent address in Germany you are obliged to register at the local residents' registration office. At the Bürgeramt you may also pick up a city map or the yellow bin bags.
